Safer Formulations
The formulation, production and marketing of cleaning chemicals must take into consideration a wide range of issues and many criteria that now form a part of the greater business environment.
Each issue has various implications on product design and production processes, so that formulation becomes an involved task going far beyond the simple matter of doing the job well. These considerations include;
- The safety of production staff during processing and packaging;
- The safety of cleaners whilst using our products;
- The safety of building occupants when cleaning is performed and at other times;
- Prevention of any harm to equipment or surfaces to which products are applied;
- Minimum environmental impact;
- Ease of dispensing correctly to optimize results, reduce waste and minimise expense;
- Avoid exposure to legal risk; and
- Compliance with standards.
Agar is active in addressing these areas and the benefits flow through to product users, as well as property managers, property inhabitants and the wider community.
Intensive research and development is ongoing, aided by liaison with chemists from the world's leading raw material producers and extensive fieldwork, in the use of environmentally suitable raw materials, and in the formulation of non-hazardous products for as many cleaning tasks as possible.
